Professional Profile
I am a dentist, educator, and international lecturer with more than three decades of clinical and teaching experience. Throughout my career, I have been committed to innovation and education in modern dentistry. I enjoy combining advanced clinical techniques with a passion for mentoring and sharing knowledge with dental professionals around the world.
Education and Early Career
I studied dentistry in Munich, Germany, where I developed a strong foundation in clinical dentistry and oral surgery. After completing my dental education, I began practising in Germany and opened my first dental clinic in 1995. From the beginning, I focused on providing high-quality patient care while exploring new and innovative treatment approaches.
Early in my career, I developed a strong interest in advanced dental technology, dental implants, and minimally invasive techniques. This interest led me to pursue extensive postgraduate education and specialised training.
Advanced Training and Qualifications
I hold a degree in Implant Dentistry from the DGI (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Implantologie im Zahn-, Mund- und Kieferbereich), one of Europe’s leading professional organisations in this field.
To continually expand my knowledge and skills, I have completed several advanced training programs, including:
- Continued professional education at Harvard University
- The Advanced Surgical Master Curriculum in Regenerative Implant Surgery at the University of Budapest
These programs focused on modern surgical techniques, regenerative procedures, and innovative approaches to surgical procedures and implant treatment.
Clinical Interests
My professional interests include:
- Dental implants
- Dentures
- Root Canal Procedures
- Regenerative implant procedures
- Digital dentistry
- Laser dentistry
- CEREC same-day crowns and restorations
- Advanced digital imaging technologies
I have been an early adopter of digital dentistry, particularly CEREC technology, which allows crowns and restorations to be designed and placed in a single appointment.
Teaching, Mentoring, and International Lecturing
Education and mentorship have always been an important part of my professional life. Throughout my career, I have been involved in teaching and mentoring dentists, helping colleagues develop their skills in modern dental techniques and technologies.
I have lectured and provided training internationally, presenting at conferences, professional courses, and educational programs around the world.
I also served as a board member and educator for professional training initiatives in CEREC digital dentistry.
My teaching focuses on translating advanced technologies into practical clinical applications that improve patient outcomes and support efficient workflows in modern dental practices.
Relocation to Australia
In 2010, my wife and I relocated to Perth, Western Australia, which has since become our home. Here, I continue to practise dentistry while remaining actively involved in professional education and the ongoing development of modern dental care.
Professional Philosophy
I believe dentistry should combine precision, innovation, and patient-centred care. My commitment to lifelong learning, together with my passion for mentoring other dentists, reflects my goal of contributing to the advancement of dentistry through both clinical practice and education.
With over 30 years of experience I believe to be a great value to the community and I am proud to offer a good quality dental care and service around you. My focus has always been my patients and I have been to continued education courses domestic and international to provide the best dental care and technology for my patients. I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry and a happy smile from my patients is the best reward!
